Creativity:..

Being creative is being like a child.
Its how a child plays games.
It will not plan anything and there is no sophistication.
Its rather a crude thing to do, raw and unordered.
But its a fulfilling thing to do.
It fills the emptiness inside.

In creation mind is focused,
on the present moment in hand rather than the outcome.
It doesnt bother about the result,
but wants to enjoy the flow, the fluidity,
spontaneous and easiest flow of thoughts.

It flexes things, bends, assembles and breaks.
It listens to itself, listens to surrounding and
just does things which seem more appropriate to itself.

Being creative is being alone and fully connected,
immersed at the same time.
Its movement comes sometimes with originality,
otherwise as imitation from nature,
many times
guided by intution and inspired by beauty.

thank you very much da,
i think skills required for creation are god gifted.
is creativity also?
...well...i dont know :-)
i mean 'what' is god gifted apart from skills?

Creativity can be cultivated by letting the child observe and do things on his own.

Creativity neednt be artistic as clearly explained by endeavourme. It is our indiidual style which is our creativity. All of us are creative in our own way.

WOW!! did u tk dat pic.. Its beautiful.. U seem to like trees a lot.. :)

~Being creative is being like a child~.. Thats so true.. To see things arnd us, the bird, the flowers, the dewdrops, as if seeing them for the first time ever.. To seek and ask questions that seem to percolate to the very core of their existence... Only a child can do that with absolute perfection..

"The creative adult is the child who has survived.".. U r very creative urself..

yup i took the pic.

"The creative adult is the child who has survived."..
seems u read Ursula LeGuin...very cute...

she also also said,
"To hear, one must be silent”
and “The only questions that really matter are the ones you ask yourself.”
and "To light a candle is to cast a shadow.”

sadness and pain must live in ones soul as long as the lesson to be learnt from it has not been learnt.....

like said here everyone has sorrows that we would have rather not had....but each sorrow and pain has its own life, once they have been lived through they must be buried and allowed to perish..not by forgetting them but by knowing that those sorrows do not have any more use in ones life.

once you are able to tell yourself that your sorrows have outlived their purpose they'll go by themselves. you'll not have to forget them...you'll overcome them...

sorry for the loong comment...take care n smile......:-)

Beautiful pic. And what you said abt creativity is so true. Everyone of us is creative in our own ways. Creativity need not mean being artistic. Creativity is ur style statement. U can use creativity even in telling lies....lol. And I suppose we are at our creative best when we are children. Give an empty carton to a child and see how creatively he/she uses it in his/her play.
